  1. This looks fun. I believe I know the shirtless fellow to the left side of the picture (from school on campus).

The dance classes are very fun but they are high energy. Sali is very intense, it is crazy to think that the dance classes being conducted are beginners classes. One of the most difficult challenges I find with the dance classes are moving to the rhythm and staying energized.

I have prior dance experience in tap jazz ballet and hip hip. When I made the transition to African dance counts disappeared. You can count 1 and 2 and 3 and 4, and 1 and 2... You have to feel the music. The more intensity the drummers give the harder you dance and when the drummers decide to give a break you change moves. I have seen a woman dance so hard and with so much intensity she broke down into tears. Its amazing, the language of the drum takes over and when you feel it and understand it youcant help but to love it.
